UVSC Command Spanish offering a new nationally recognized class called Command Spanish: Survival Spanish for Law Enforcement Officers. This is the premier occupational Spanish program in the United States. We are the only ones to offer this nationally recognized program in the state of Utah. The class is specifically designed for non-Spanish-speaking law enforcement officers to learn Spanish phrases needed to work with Spanish-speaking victims and offenders. It comes with a 90-page manual and practice CDs/tapes. A new class of Command Spanish: Survival Spanish for Law Enforcement Officers will be starting in your area this Spring/Summer. Any Law Enforcement Agency in the State of Utah may request specific POST accredited training from the UPOA. The cost is $30 per non-member of the UPOA and free of charge to any UPOA Member. Please contact UPOA for additional information or specific training requests. We want to help you with your yearly training needs - you, however, need to let us know what these training needs are, and/or if you want to be notified of training updates as they become available, we'll put you on our e-mail list. Please contact us at upoa@upoa.org. We are preparing a list of qualified instructors who would be available for training throughout the State. If you are a POST certified instructor, and you would like to participate with UPOA in this endeavor, please submit information to UPOA.
