First, I would like to send a big thank-you to all of you who came through for me and sent your recipes! From what we received, the Auxiliary Recipe Book should sell itself. We have ordered approximately 600 books, which should be available some time within the next couple of months. We'll keep you posted. We also talked about and decided that for our Christmas charity we would donate an artificial Christmas tree to the Salt Lake County Children's Justice Center. This is a brand new facility which serves children who have been victims of sexual and physical abuse. This facility is also very much in need of new teddy bears, as each and every child who sets foot in this building goes home with a teddy. If you feel you can send a new bear, that would be great. Please send to Eden Griffiths in care of UPOA, 5671 S Redwood Rd #19, Taylorsville, UT 84123. Winter Convention is just around the corner. The dates are February 5 - 6, 1998. I am excited to say that we have been lining up some fun and interesting things to do. For those of you who plan to bring your children, I have been working on getting arrangements much like we had at summer convention. In the fall magazine I talked about the Crime Fair and how we were going to have a Dunk a Cop booth. Due to bad weather, this was cancelled.
