Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Daniel W. Harris, 33, was killed August 25, 1982, while chasing a speeding vehicle in Parley's Canyon. While pursuing a white Corvette at high speed, Harris lost control of his motorcycle and was killed instantly. The driver of the Corvette has never been located.
