- Emery County Deputy Sheriff Wade A. Hansen, 26, was killed Sept. 24, 1987, in an automobile accident. Hansen was driving on U.S. 6 near Green River when he inadvertently crossed the center line and collided headon with a semitrailer truck. Hansen died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured.
